Developed by watching children in Waldorf schools use their pencil shavings for shading, these unique pastel smudge sticks are used by grating the stick on the rubbing block and then smudging with your fingers. The effect is both delicate and intense, and can be used on a variety of surfaces including paper, wood and even eggs at Easter time.
